3 Step On How To Find A Debt Collector

In case you’re wondering whether you have a debt caught up in collections or not, here’s how you find out:

  1. Take a look at your credit report: Your free credit report will show you anything that’s in collections.
  2. See if a credit agency has tried to contact you. A debt collection agency will go through great lengths to find you. Whether that means calling your place of work, contacting relatives or sending you something to an old mailing address, they will do what they can to find you. Take a look at your credit report to see who is listed as a debt agency.
  3. Ask the original creditors. Another way to find out who you owe is to call the original creditor. They can point you in the right direction of who to pay.
