Getting Your Free Credit Report

Every 12 months, you can get a free credit report from the 3 credit reporting agencies. You can get it through AnnualCreditReport.com.

If you’d like, you can request all three of your reports at once, or you can space them out over the course of the year. That means if you order a report from one of the companies on June 8, you can’t get another free annual credit report from the same company until June 9 next year.

There are some cases where you can get additional copies of your credit report for free. Certain situations include:

• application of certain state laws
• when you have been denied credit
•  instances involving fraud
